The Portola Neighborhood Association relies on targeted committees made up of community volunteers to help direct our organization. You don't have to be a member of the PNA board to get involved, so join a committee today!
Arts & Beautification Committee
The Arts & Beautification Committee aims to revitalize San Bruno Ave through beautification projects. We have helped plant new street trees, organized clean up days with local schools and partners at Burrows Pocket Park and at the Alemany Island, planted flower barrel planters for corridor merchants, and installed unique and artistic trash bins outside our local stores. All Portola residents and businesses are encouraged to come out and help us beautify San Bruno Ave.
Business Development Committee
The Business Development Committee aims to support existing businesses along the San Bruno Ave providing resources and technical assistance, and promoting the commercial corridor. We also work with property owners to help fill vacant storefronts, and connect with potential businesses that the community demands.
Safety & Transportation Committee
The Safety & Transportation Committee aims to improve overall public safety in the Portola neighborhood and along the San Bruno Commercial Corridor. We work to connect local merchants, residents, community groups, schools, law enforcement and other first responders to build neighborhood resilience. We also work closely with SFMTA and other city agencies to help improve transportation and parking in our community with projects such as the San Bruno Ave Corridor Study and the Alemany Island Pedestrian and Bicycle access study.
